God

God is both the loving Creator and ruler of all that exists, both seen and unseen. He is the one and only true God, eternally existing in 3 persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.; as the Trinity; each personally distinct from each other, yet each fully God. God is completely good, having all power and majesty and He passionately desires a relationship with each of us...

The Bible

The sole basis of our belief is the Bible. The Bible, God's unique revelation, is His Word to all. We believe the Bible, in its entirety, originated with God and that it was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, as He chose to reveal it and that it speaks with the God's authority. We hold that the Scriptures are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts and that they are the unique and final authority on all matters of faith and practice. There are no other writings similarly inspired by God. It is our privilege to seek to understand God's message and apply it responsibly to our lives. We believe that God's unchangeable Biblical message ought to be presented in relevant and contemporary ways, free of religious jargon and understandable to the people of our community.

Man/Eternity/Destiny

We believe all people are created in God's image and are created to live in a vital relationship with God. We are the supreme object of God's creation and affection. Although we have tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an inherent attitude of disobedience called "sin". Through our sin, we break our intended relationship with God and we experience the destructive consequences of that broken relationship, in this life and beyond. Being created in Gods spiritual image, each person will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally with God is Heaven. Both Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. For this, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us from those consequences and to restore our broken relationships with God, through Christ's death on the cross, a perfect act of redemption for each of us. Salvation comes as a gift from God to man on the basis of God's grace through their faith in Jesus alone. We receive the free gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn through repenting of our and believing in Jesus Christ. Good works and right living, although totally unable to save anyone, is the natural product of repentant, believing people.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the Son of God is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit and the second person of the Trinity. He was fully united with a human nature by a miraculous conception and virgin birth. He lived a sinless human life in perfect obedience to the Father, voluntarily paid the price for each of our sins of by dying on a cross as our substitute, and satisfied divine justice bringing salvation to all who trust in Him alone. He arose from the dead after three days demonstrating His power over all sin and even death. He ascended to Heaven's glory where He is the only Mediator between God and us. He promises to return to earth, personally and visibly, to fulfill history and the eternal plan of God.

The Holy Spirit

All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the filling with the Holy Spirit, according to the command of Jesus Christ. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. This experience is distinct from the experience of salvation. With the baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as:

  • an overflowing fullness of the Spirit
  • a deepened reverence for God
  • an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work bearing greater fruit for the Kingdom
  • and a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost
